Thanks for the nice talk but I realised the subject discussed is Curiosity not matching with the title mentioned. Or may be I have not understood correctly the connection between Fear and curiosity.

Actually it does. Whether you’re trying to overcome fear or any habit the solution is the same: Use your mind to create a mental device to overcome that subconscious limitation. Curiosity + intention + interest are ingredients to make that mental device to overcome those deep subconscious grooves of habit. Fear is nothing but a well practiced reaction to a situation is it not ? Curiosity is not related to fear or mental ruts. It’s simply a tool in your toolbox. That you can use to help you blast through these deep ingrained habits. What brother said is that if you remain conscious for long enough the mental emotional disturbance unravels all by itself. So now when you think of it how does one remain focused and concentrated for long enough without being distracted by stray random thoughts ?? Well interest + curiosity are what keep the mind engaged in continuous focus and concentration. So there you have it !

Hi, I'll try to answer your question.
Taking inspiration from some passages of the speech, I would have understood it this way:
"When faced with things that tend to make us fearful, there is a mental device in there that we can create, that we can find, that will help us get through that situation, and curiosity is one of these devices."
However "When there is a lack of mental interest and enthusiasm (curiosity), the life force in the body becomes sluggish and the will ceases to draw new vitality from the cosmic life energy surrounding the body."
Whatever device you find to instantly remove a habit, if it arises from a sincere curiosity to know, it will be truly effective.
The affirmations -: "can I not do that"? "Can I not experience impatience here? "Can I not be afraid here? - imply curiosity and this is why I think the monk decided to develop this concept.
      Jai guru🙏

Yoganandaji wrote in His Autobiography of a Yogi A Very Remarkable Statement...
"God Created Each Man As A Soul, DOWERED with INDIVIDUALITY, hence ESSENTIAL to the 😮, whether in the TEMPORARY role of Pillar or Parasite. His FREEDOM Is FINAL And IMMEDIATE, If HE SO WILLS(!); It DEPENDS NOT ON OUTER BUT INNER VICTORIES."
One Reads Such A Statement And Immediately Gets VERY CURIOUS About - The PILLARS And The PARASITES - and the BONDAGE - and The FREEDOM - and The IMMEDIACY and the FINALITY and the INNER and OUTER VICTORIES!! And Wonders Intensely Curiously If It Could All Be Known By The Simple Awake Aware And Joyful Curiosity of a Child?😊😅😂❤
